Global Studies and Art
Each quarter, you will investigate an aspect of the art produced in the cultures studied in your Global Studies class (if you are a junior/senior, then this is a great opportunity for review). The goal of this exploration is to better understand the characteristics of each culture’s artistic production and to see how these cultures have influenced art history.
Research will be presented as a 2-page spread in your sketchbook. This type of visual and didactic presentation will allow you to combine research with the design skills that you are learning in class (Elements & Principles).
