READ ABOUT THE ARTIST  - take notes

Watch the following videos, in this order: 1) TAKASHI MURAKAMI: Superflat and super awkward (partial); 2) Trailer for "Jellyfish Eyes," 2013; 3) TAKASHI MURAKAMI: Healing Powers; 4) Reflections: "Takashi Murakami Fights Back" (pardon the wee bit of bad language)

QUESTIONS:
1. Explain Murakami's  "Superflat" style.
2. How does Murakami try to provide consolation (comfort, solace, sympathy, compassion, pity, commiseration, empathy) to others through his art?
