TUESDAY: EXTENDED SCHEDULE - School starts @ 8:35 am
  • Start Chapter 1 - Prehistoric Art

THURSDAY: EXTENDED SCHEDULE - School starts @ 8:35 am
  • Continue/Finish Chapter 1 - Prehistoric Art
  • Quiz (open notes)

HOMEWORK:
  • DUE Thursday - Complete reading of Chapter 1 AND answer "Think About It" Question 1.3 AND be prepared for an open notes quiz
  • For NEXT week: Read Chapter 2 - Art of the Ancient Near East 
  • DUE at any time but no later than Oct. 6 - ART HISTORY ALERT!!! #1 (this first post can be related to art history in any way; the next ones will be more closely related to the time periods that we are covering in class). 
  • ONGOING...keep a running list of "things I am interested in and would like to know more about." This will help when generating research project ideas. Your topics will need to fall within the chapters to be covered this semester. We will be talking more about this in the near future.

HAPPENINGS:
MONDAY = Start extended schedule (through Oct. 2)
TUESDAY = First meeting of the Art Club (meets most 2nd and 4th Tuesdays) 
WEDNESDAY = School Holiday (Richmond Bike Race) / Office open 8-4 PM 
THURSDAY = Back to School Night / PTSA 6:30 PM - make sure to fill out the parent schedule that you were given in 7th pd. on Monday
Oct. 2 = First Friday Art Walk. If you can't make this one, look out for information re: the MW/VAB Art Walk on Nov. 6th
Oct. 9 = Fall Festival, 4:00 - 8:00 pm - if you are a member of the Art Club/NAHS, you will need to sign up to volunteer
Oct. 14 = PSAT/Field Day - no classes but a special schedule of testing and spirit activities
