MONDAY: Senior showcase

All students report to Block 1 at 8:40 AM for attendance and distribution of schedules.

Freshmen will be attending a class field trip either in the AM or PM.  If in the AM group for the field trip, Freshmen should report to the auditorium for Session 3 & 4.  If in the PM group for the field trip, Freshmen will report to auditorium for Session 1 & 2.  Buses will be leaving from the student parking lot.

​All other students:
  • Session 1: 8:45-10:05 AM in assigned locations
  • Session 2: 10:10-11:30 AM in assigned locations
  • Lunch: 11:30 AM- 12:20 PM
  • Session 3: 12:25-1:45 PM in assigned locations
  • Session 4: 1:50- 3:10

TUESDAY: EXAMS 2/8

WEDNESDAY: EXAMS 3/5
  • Modified exam schedule: START @ 12: 40/ END @ 2:40/ CLEAN until 3:10 pm.
    • Make sure that your tray is cleared out and that you've collected ALL work to GO HOME!!!

    • Photograph work 
    • Fill portfolios (clear class drawer, trays, etc.)(will go home on Wednesday)

WEDNESDAY: LAST DAY OF CLASS!!!
  • FINISH project critique. Completed self-evaluation rubric is due today.

REMEMBER: There is NO school on Monday, no studio time on Wednesday, and Friday is the LAST studio day... but the official project due date is NEXT Monday, June 3rd. Plan your time accordingly, come in during lunch, and take your project home if needed.

  • Review Artist Spotlights #15 & #16 - focus on how this info. can be applied to your work (don't forget all the others!).
  • Collages are due today (in whatever form they have taken - digital, all glued, separate pieces, etc.). This is because:
    • TODAY is the official start date;  everyone MUST BE working on some aspect of the final product or you will run out of time.
    • NOTE: Because there are limited projectors, you may need to come in at other times in order to do that work; as you wait for the projector, use your time wisely by working through the PLANNING pages and completing any other preparatory work that can be done. 

WEDNESDAY: 
  • Studio day 1 of 6 - come on in, get to work!

FRIDAY: 
  • SB Check - please see HW for what should be in your SB thus far.

​​If you do not START the ​NAHS application process THIS week, it WILL be too late to meet the April 24th deadline, SO this is the LAST reminder to do so. Go go HERE (or the bulletin board) for application materials. 
The Borogove, MLWGS’s literary magazine is looking for art submissions!!! If you would like your art to be considered for inclusion in the spring issue of The Borogove (and you SHOULD), please send a high quality image (!!!) with your request for inclusion to Mr. Coleman @ ecoleman@gsgis.k12.va.us. Good luck!!!
