FRIDAY: modified schedule (no class but check in @5th pd. for attendance)
HOMEWORK:
HAPPENINGS:
LUNCHTIME LECTURES
- No Daily Drawing today
- Pick up your SB as you enter the room:
- Review your SB grade sheet and related feedback
- Paste-in the SB #2 assignment. DO NOT READ IT NOW (do that for homework)
- Discuss AS #2 - consider how this info. pertains to your still life drawing
- Introduce AS #3, #4 & #5 and how we will be dividing and conquering these assignments! (in the spirit of "Inktober," you may want to ink your thumbnails!)
- Continue still life - try new paper/processes & continue to refine/finish previous work
WEDNESDAY: modified schedule (60 min. class)
- No Daily Drawing today
- Q&A re: SB #2
- Continue still life - try new paper/processes & continue to refine/finish previous work
- FOCUS on creating at least ONE drawing that exhibits your ability to render the objects realistically (mimesis, naturalism, verisimilitude, the illusion of 3D form) and at least ONE drawing that exhibits your ability to stretch beyond realism to a more stylistic mode of expression.
FRIDAY: modified schedule (no class but check in @5th pd. for attendance)
- Don't forget that you can always come in to work during extended lunches, any day of the week! This will be especially important for the next two weeks, as you will not be working on still life in class (because you will be figure drawing).
HOMEWORK:
- DUE WEDNESDAY = Review of SB #2 (annotations are always a good idea!); come to class with questions!
- Since the next 2 weeks will be spent figure drawing with Tommy Van Auken, you will want to find some time to work on your still lifes on your own. Come in at lunch if you can. You may take it/them home and check out needed materials but be careful to keep your work safe and in good condition.
- DUE Oct. 15 = AS #3, #4, #5 - Sketch all (heading, thumbnail, credit line) but complete only the ONE entry for the artist assigned to you (unless you WANT to do them all, of course - I will certainly give you extra credit!). If you do not know the artist that was assigned to you, contact me ASAP!
- DUE Oct. 26 = SB CHECK
- DUE Nov. 2 = SB #2
