HOMEWORK is designed to: 1) allow for exploration, practice, preparation, and application of class content, 2) encourage independent work, time management, and efficiency of work flow (don't procrastinate!), 3) fit within the weekly homework time allotted for this class. Keep these things in mind as you work. Use of a timer is one way to stay on task and to monitor your work time. Please note that your individual needs and work process may result in spending more or less than the suggested average time. Ask for help/use extended lunch as needed; communicate extension requests at least 3-days before a deadline.

- You MUST have an ARBITRARY YET FORMAL color scheme selected and written on both the back of your painting and your rubric (6th pd. needs rubric)
- Paint demo. as needed - intro. to glazes
- PAINT (studio day 3 of 4, guaranteed). You should be close to 1/2 done by today - if not, find time at lunch to make progress.
- Double check your LOCAL colors for accuracy (Hue? Value? Saturation?)
- Keep your color wheel close by; use it to help you figure out color mixing options AND add to it along the way

- 6TH PERIOD, YOU ARE MAKING UP THE FIELD TRIP TODAY. You have already had an extra studio day, so are technically not behind the other classes. That being said, the majority of you have a lot of progress to make and should come in @ lunch to paint.
- PAINT (studio day 4 of 4, guaranteed). You should be close to finished today - if not, find time at lunch to make progress.
- DOUBLE CHECK all colors - do they match??
- Keep your Color Wheel close by; use it to help you figure out color mixing options and add to it along the way
FRIDAY:

- Review of painting progress (check value matching!) & prep. for clay sculpture next week

- Study the current Project page in order to be prepared for working with clay. Revisit Artist Spotlight #15 AND your preliminary sketches; revise and refine (or redo) them in order to be ready to sculpt NEXT week.
- DUE May 24/25 (this is NEXT week!) = SB #6.
- The full # of daily drawings should be complete, including all warm-ups; don't forget to label any extras that you do on your own
- Don't forget to address the following essential questions in your field trip entry:
- What is the content of Tillman's work?
- What connections can you make between her work and what you have been doing throughout the year?
- What aspect of Tillman's subject, composition, content, work & thought processes can you adapt as your own artistic habits?

- Check the website; update your agenda accordingly and complete any required preparatory make-up work
