It's time to think about
course registration for next year... 
Art 2, Digital Art, Survey of World Art, Photography...?

MONDAY/TUESDAY:
  • Warm up: none today, except to gather your sketchbook and a pen/pencil, which you will need for the Artist Spotlight activity to complete after your test
  • Class activities:​
    • TEST - move to Lab #121 - log into Quia, start when you are ready
    • After you have submitted your answers and reviewed your score, work on Artist Spotlight #9 by sketching and taking notes on the 2 provided readings (watch the video on your own and complete the entry by Friday). SKIP A 2-PAGE SPREAD SO YOU'LL HAVE SPACE TO PASTE THE NEW SKETCHBOOK ASSIGNMENT.
    • When finished with AS #9, or as directed, move back to the art room to work on the Linear Perspective packet

WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY:
  • Warm up: 10 min.
    • Read and annotate SB #5, paste into sketchbook 
    • If you've already done this, work on Linear Perspective packet
  • Class activities:
    • Discuss SB #5/explain Create Sheet
    • Continue Linear Perspective and Figure Drawing

FRIDAY: 
  • Warm up: 5 min.
    • Sketch Artist Spotlight #10
    • Show your work - Artist Spotlight #9
  • Class activities:
    • Discuss Artist Spotlight #9 
    • Artist Spotlight #10

​HOMEWORK is designed to: 1) allow for exploration, practice, preparation, and application of class content, 2) encourage independent work, time management, and efficiency of work flow (don't procrastinate!), 3) fit within the weekly homework time allotted for this class. Keep these things in mind as you work. Use of a timer is one way to stay on task and to monitor your work time. Please note that your individual needs and work process may result in spending more or less than the suggested average time. Please ask for help/use extended lunch as needed; communicate extension requests 3-days before a deadline.​
  • DUE NOW:
    • Prepare for TEST on MON./TUES. Make sure that you can access your Quia account; Re-take old Quia quizzes as practice.
    • Check Powerschool; it is your responsibility to follow up with make up/late work, questions, or discrepancies in a timely manner. No Q2 work will be accepted beyond FRIDAY.
  • DUE FRIDAY = SB Check/Artist Spotlight #9
  • DUE MONDAY/TUESDAY = Come to class with questions that remain after thoroughly reviewing, annotating, and getting started on SB #5.
  • DUE Feb. 9 = SB Check/AS #10, _____-a-Week #1, Curiosity/Creativity
  • DUE Feb. 16 =  SB Check/ _____-a-Week #2
  • DUE Feb. 22/23 =  SB Check/_____-a-Weeks #3 & #4
  • DUE March 2 =  SB Check/_____-a-Week #5
  • DUE March 9 =  SB Check/_____-a-Week #6
  • DUE March 30 = SB #5
  • DUE EVERY WEEK = Check the website at the start of each week; update your agenda accordingly and complete any required preparatory work
